Where I stayed
Left Singapore on a 1 pm bus, sailed through border control, passports stamped, goodbye see you next time and sailed up to Kuala Lumpur or KL as the locals call it! We got off the bus and spent 45 minutes looking for our hostel which turned out to be 2 minutes away! Eventually we got checked in and set off exploring this big city!
Lonely planets (Our travel guide and bible) says that Kl is good for two things, shopping (Bad for a shopping addict, Annie is on the verge of falling off the wagon big time!!) and food, and it is not wrong! There are HUGE shopping centres everywhere and food courts and markets everywhere and the food is awesome, we ate on the street the first night in a Chinese place and the food was top class, we then walked back through the markets where I replaced my lost sun glasses and headed back to the hostel and had a beer and hit the leaba
Today we got up and headed to the Petronas towers, the highest (and 2nd most famous) twin towers in the world which were stunning up close, the inside was decorated to the highest standard, we then headed to another tower to look at the Petronas towers and then took a walk to the China town area and walked through the stalls and had dinner there and got lost on the way back as there was a crazy amount of stalls set up on the street we came in!
We then headed back to the hostel and relaxed for the evening tired after all the walking and the shopping addict couldn't trust herself in the markets!! Played cards and had a few beers, not a bad Saturday night!
Booked tickets to Kuala Besut and onto the Perhentian islands, walked through the main area of town and headed to see the Petronas towers and night and then jumped on a night bus to Kuala Besut, roll on the Perhentian islands!!
