We left Whitianga in the morning hoping to head to Mianda Hot Springs, stopping along the way at a gorge for a walk and grabbed a coffee before heading further on. We made it to Miranda shortly after lucnh time and didn't spend too much time as there was literally nothing there, no shop, post office, church or football field!!! Anyway we headed on towards Auckland direction hoping to come across something see or do! Annie was driving and I was searching through the guidebook for something to do...then we copped we were almost in Auckland. So we drove into the city, got checked into a hostel and chilled for a while, cooked dinner and planned out the next few days, starting with Piha for the weekend and then the Northland Monday and Tuesday! Didn't see much of Auckland but we have got plenty of time!!
