Day 1
Arrived into BA at 8, our first impressions were that the city is massive, 16 million people! Got a cab to the hostel, checked in and slept for 4 hours. Grabbed lunch in the hostel and set off wandering through the city. Wandered through a few markets and made our way back to this hostel, got changed, had a drink in the bar. Then walked a few blocks and had a pizza and a bottle of wine. We then came back to the hostel, watched the Australia Italy game and went in search of the Ireland USA game, it was not on and the laptop was acting up so we had to make do with one of Annie's workmates texting us the score as it came in. (Thanks Mags). Got talking to this soft young lad from 'blaney who at the end of the night was sitting on a stool crying because he didn't get to kiss a girl all night!!

Day 2
Got up late enough and walked around Buenos Aires shopping district, made our way back to the hostel and set off with a group from there on a bus to watch Boca Juniors play. There were 3 lads from monaghan and a guy from Coalisland who were drinking from 9 in the morning, when we went to leave the hostel, they were on the double vodkas and red bull, at 3 pm, on a Sunday!! Naturally, they provided the entertainment on the bus on the way to the ground!!! We got into the stadium 90 minutes before kickoff, and watched the fans literally dress the stadium like a christmas tree in the blue and yellow colours of Boca.15 minutes before kickoff the atmosphere was unbelievable, and come kickoff itself, the stadium was shaking with the noise!! We were in among the Boca fans and got to soak in the atmosphere, we were at the opposite end of the stadium to the Boca Ultras (thankfully), and it was an amazing sight to see them jumping in unison for the duration of the game. Boca eventually won the game 1-0, when they scored,it felt as if the stadium was going to erupt!! It was by far the best atmosphere at a game that I have ever experienced, it was also great to see Riquelme play and he gave an exhibition.

That night we went and got some amazing steak in a restaurant called Cochura, the steaks pretty amazing, washed down with some Argentinian Malbec red, it made for a super end to a day that was a real highlight of our trip so far!!

Day 3
Up early and headed off to visit the Recoletta area of BA, we went to the cemetary there and visited the grave of Eva Peron. The graves in the graveyard were huge, the size of small apartments, the reason for which escapes me!! Following on from that we visited the san telmo area of the city, grabbed lunch, and walked back through the city to the hostel, booked our bus tickets out of this amazing city for tomorrow, hung out there for a bit and made our way to the Palermo area for the night, we had a few drinks in a few bars, watched some tennis and NFL and made our way back to the hostel in the wee hours!!
