Left Tupiza at 9:30 in the morning on the train (Lot of waiting around for it), got to the border town of Villazon at 1, getting through the border was a real pain, it took over an hour to get our passport stamped on the Argentinian side and them we had through a customs search. Annie's bag was searched but mine wasn't (Suppose she looks more likely to be carrying a big bag of drugs than me!!) We then made our way to the bus terminal in La Quita, the border town on the Argentinian side and caught a bus a 4:45 to Salta. We had one 90 minute stop off in San Salvador De Jujuy and made got into Salta at 1 am, we then made our way to a hostel with two Uruguayan dudes we met on the bus and hit the bed, best sleep in a long long time!!!
Up at 9:30, checked out and made our way back to the bus terminal, and booked our tickets out of the lovely Salta for that day at 3! We then made our way back into the town centre, which is lovely, with a real Spanish feel to it, saw the sights, got lunch and walked around a few more sight including a very gaudy Cathedral. We then collected our bags and made our way back to the bus terminal to catch the bus to Puerto Iguazu. The bus was off the standard of Business class on an Aeroplane, with meals and free drinks, so the 24 hours wont be long passing...hopefully!!
