Where I stayed
Woke at 6 am on the bus, the views on the bus were amazing as we made our was up and down through the Andes mountains, winding through small villages and towns. We arrived into Cusco at 1, checked into the hostel, got showered, got laundry done and made our way into the town centre which is beautiful with cobbled streets and colonial buildings. We dropped into an Irish pub (The highest Irish owned pub on planet earth apparently!!) to watch the Irish rugby match. Bumped into a good few Irish there, up to now we have only met 3 Irish in all of South America, suppose if your going to find them anywhere, its in an Irish bar! We screamed and roared at the telly for an hour and a half and then went to the supermarket to pick up supplies for the 4 day trek. We got back to the hostel, booked our trek for the following morning, met our guide and hit the bed early as we leave at 4 am tomorrow morning!!
