We arrived at 7:30pm into Ciudad Bolivar. The bus took 12 hours and was small uncomfortable and had no air con, not an ideal situation for a 800 km journey in the sweltering Venezuelan heat!! We paid for our tour to Angel Falls, and then made our way to the Posada. Ciudad Bolivar is a city of 1.3 million people, and there was NOTHING open in the main town when we got in at 8pm. Carlos the posdad owner had to drive us out near the airport so we could get something to eat. We then had another early night as we had a 6:30 start!!
