Hey there, a bit fuzzy this morning, there was free beer and bbq at the hostel last night and once we had had a few we wanted more and it would appear i have lost my ability to drink more than a few beers feel like poo! Fun night though i blame it on the group of Irish girls we were sat with those Celtic ones eh, always drinking and forcing it on others!

Anyway, we arrived here on Sunday at Ocean Beach, funny how those leaflets make the hostels sound really good then you get there and nothing works and isn't quite how the leaflet pictured it, its clean though so that is good and more than one ring hot plate to cook our dinners.

So, San Diego we went to the Zoo on Monday, was excellent, it is huge, we were big kids for the day and wandered round for 8.5 hours running to the front of the cages to stand and oogle at the hundreds of animals many I never knew existed but obviously can not remember the names of now. My favorites was seeing the Polar bears swimming in their pool and playing had waited hours before at Windsor safari for them to jump in and finally seen them. Also loved the massive old fat orangutan was cute, saw sea lion show, cats, hundreds of different types of deer, snakes, elephants, camels you name it we saw it pretty much. (Nick - one of my favorite bits was at the end of the day, about 6:30 we passed a sign for a ´meet the critters´show, with a small table. I thought they might bring some big spiders or something out, so we waited around with a few other people, a low and behold they bring out a Cheeter, cool. So we got to stand about 2m from the thing that was accompanied by it´s best friend, a Labrador dog, that gives it the confidence to come out in front of a small crowd)

We went to mexico yesterday but unfortunately we did not get our passports stamped, gutted as the Mexican authorities apparently don't care who enters the country you just hop on a bus and someone pokes their head in quick look round and thats it. Wandered round Tijuana with lookie lookie men all around trying to sell us lots of authentic mexican goods, but managed not to part with any cash. Got a bus over to Rosirito to the beach for a lovely mexican lunch where we started to realise we have been very slack on the spanish learning as our waitress did not speak a word of english, opps time to cram in those CD's, managed half a one on the way back on the bus, so think your phrase book will be coming in useful Sven (for those who did not see it, it is a plastic booklet with pictures of pretty much everything you would need).

We move from the beach to downtown today to see a bit of the city so will catch up again there, head hurting too much to waffle on anymore.
