Beginning to work my way back down to Rio for New Year, as Suzana and Filipe had invited me back to celebrate on the Copacabana, I went to Brasilia. An unusual stop for many, but I really wanted to see the city - the 1960s "invented" Brazilian capital. It was far away from anywhere, though, in the central plateau, so i treated myself to a plane ride instead of 2 days on a bus! Apart from the confusing numbering system in place in the city, I enjoyed my short stay there - probably from the point of view I used to be a human geography student and am still interested in such issues (sad, I know!). Saw the modern architecture of the congress, other governmental buildings, the crazy amount of roads in the city (and lack of pavements!) and even the International Racing Circuit, which had some F3 Sudamericana teams testing at it!
