We can now say we've attended the Rhododendron festival in Florence OR.  We did it all...the classic cars, the carnival and the vendors. The boys used their money to pick one thing. Collin, of course, chose the 'skull and crossbones' necklace, while Keegan opted for the airbrush tattoo. They were both very excited about their purchases.

After the festival, we drove up the coast about 10 miles to the 'Sea Lion Cave.'  Opened in 1930, it is the largest sea cave in the world. It was much larger than we expected. All of the sea lions were outside the cave swimming because the waves were so rough they were coming into the cave and knocking them off the rocks. It is a must see in the area and has been owned by the same to local families since 1930.

We stopped for lunch at the 'Hot-Rod Grille' on the way home. we even sat in a 50's 'cruiser' while we ate. When we got back to the park, we walked out to the sand dunes we've heard about. They were amazing! We've been hearing ATV's riding since we got here and now I know why. These have to be some of the highest dunes in the world and they go on for miles. Of course, Keegan and Collin were each 5lbs heavier when we left. They rolled down these massive hills until Kelly and I were dizzy from watching.

The boys caught up with some of the friends they made yesterday and rode their bikes. I have to say, the kids we met here were very polite and seemed like good kids. That was about it for today.
