The boys and I got up early to catch Jerry's Jet Boat Tours at the dock of our RV park this morning. It was a little overcast and cool, but the sun came out and warmed our day up on the boat. Chris was supposed to go, but his back is still aching so he stayed home to rest it.

We caught the boat at 8:30am for one of the best adventure trips on the famous Rogue River. It's well-known for fishing of salmon and steelheads, and also for the jet boat rides! It wasn't long before we saw our first wildlife along the river's edge...a mama bear and 2 cubs climbing out from behind a tree. The scenery was incredible on it's own with all the beautiful trees, rock formations, waterfalls, and rapids for rafting too!

On our Jerry's Jet Tour, Darin our guide told us alot about the history of the river and had an eye for spotting wildlife. We saw a total of 5 bear, 3 bald eagles, 1 mink, several osprey with nests high in the trees, and lots of turkey vultures flying around. We made a stop in Agnes for lunch and the boys played catch with their baseball and gloves while we waited for the boat to leave for our return trip.

The best part of the 104-mile roundtrip trip was the 20 or so spins and fast turns Darin did with his new jet boat. Keegan and Collin loved this as much as seeing the animals up close in  their natural habitat instead of the zoo.

After we returned back to our campsite, we headed into Gold Beach for dinner. The boys were excited to get back to our RV park and play baseball, fly the kite, and build a campfire.
