We woke up to a warm, sunny, beautiful day with blue skies in Gilroy, CA. We spent the morning catching up on life, making phone calls, and getting our low tire checked out at our neighbors...the Walmart Tire Dept. We hit the road around noon and Chris headed north with the RV to Pacifica and the boys and I drove to San Jose for a fieldtrip to The Tech Industry Museum.

On the way, Keegan, Collin, and I made a stop off 101 N. outside of San Jose at an old family friend's house from Allegany, NY where I grew up. I hadn't seen Judy Smith in at least 25 years and it was a great reunion. Our moms were best friends and the Smiths were our favorite neighbors for years. We spent an hour catching up on our families and the boys entertaining her.

We didn't get to The Tech until 3:00pm and started our adventure with an IMAX movie, Hurricane in the Bayou, a great educational story about Hurricane Katrina and the importance of the wetlands near New Orleans, LA. The boys and I rushed around learning about silicon, computer chips, experiencing a mock earthquake, driving astronaut jet packs, and moving the ROVs in water tanks with control handles. It wasn't enough time...wish we could have spent the entire day there. We would love to go back again!

Around 5:30pm we headed northwest toward Pacifica, CA about an hour away in traffic. Chris was busy getting the RV washed and set up for our four night stay just south of San Francisco, CA. We found a guy who recommended we have dinner at Nick's...a local's favorite place to eat on the ocean. After dinner, we watched the NBA playoffs and the guys are cheering for the  Goldenstate Warriors over the Dallas Mavericks.

Tomorrow may be rainy, so it may be an indoor homeschool day. -Kelly
