Today was our last day in San Antonio. This has definitely been a highlight thus far. But, we need to continue west and we have some distance to go. Before we left, Kelly took the boys to the 'Wild Animal Orphanage.' This was a place that rescued wild animals that were being housed as pets illegally. The boys obviously had a great time. Collin even made a friend. Kelly and I weren't crazy about him.(kind of a burly guy)(see pic)

After they finished up we grabbed lunch and got on the road. Our goal was Ft. Stockton, TX.(about 300 miles away) I'm sure there is something significant about Ft. Stockton. It's only significance to us was that there was a Wal-Mart there.(you can park an RV at almost any Wal-Mart over night.) Believe me, there wasn't a whole lot more to see. It was so desolate between TX and New Mexico, we have had very little cell service and no Internet service.(which is why I am just now updating the blog. I would love to show you more pictures from today but there just wasn't anything to see during the drive. So, I decided to take a picture to give you a feel for the scenery.(see pic)

Tomorrow, we continue on a couple hundred miles to see the 'caverns' in Carlsbad, NM. We will stay there one night and then head on to Sante Fe.
