Davy Crockett hotel

Kelly took the boys on a trolley tour of downtown San Antonio this morning and then they walked around River Walk and had lunch. They visited the old 'Davy Crockett Hotel.'(see pic's) I had some work to do and stayed back at the RV. Although they enjoyed the tour, the boys were most excited about their winnings from the 'claw' machine. They can't pass one up without feeding it a few quarters. We have been talking about the idea of buying some land and starting an RV park after we finish travelling. The boys said if we do, we have to have a 'claw' machine.

When they got back this afternoon, Keegan and Collin swam for a while before we went to church. We visited Max Lucado's church, Oak Hill.(se pic) Service was very good and served of a reminder of how difficult it is for believers to receive the gift of salvation without feeling like we have to earn it.

Tomorrow we will begin our longest journey so far. We have about an 500 mile drive to New Mexico. We will leave in the afternoon and bite off about 300 miles before we stop for the night. We have heard from several that have gone before us that it is the most boring drive because you don't see anything for hours.(I guess we could always pull over and watch a movie)

Max Lucado is Awesome!
Hey Guys,

I love Max Lucado... very good guy. He was in Larry King Live a couple of months ago and he belted out the gospel.

The 'claw' machines have taken me for a pretty penny over the years. Think to guys there is nothing more enticing than the possibility of a quarter delivering a return of lots of quarters or a shiny pocket knife!

Safe drive tomorrow. I have seen that stretch of road from the air and it is pretty desolate at times! However, it is so different from FL and the mountains that it can be nice excitingly interesting.

Take care.
