What a great time we have had in Alabama. The family I mentioned Mark and Denise Straul and their 6 kids were a real blessing.(see pictures) We had breakfast with them this morning. They are very nice and Keegan and Collin thoroughly enjoyed riding bikes with their boys and throwing the football.

We did get some homeschooling in. Kelly wanted to take the boys to Belingrath Gardens.(see pictures) It was a good opportunity for Kelly to teach the boys about the different variety of flowers, something she knows well after growing up in a garden center.

We came back to the park and had a cook out with our new friends, the Strauls. What an incredible time. The food was fine and it was wonderful watching the boys play and have such a memorable time. But for me the best part was after dinner. Mark and I took the boys down to the beach while Kelly and Denise stayed back at the fire.(I think they had one too many smores) Anyway, we got down to the beach and the stars filled the sky. It was one of those crystal clear nights. The boys ran on the beach and played tag. Looking out in the Gulf, you could see countless oil rigs all lit up. They, also looked like stars. We learned there are something like 4000 rigs between Florida and Texas. The weather again was perfect and it was an experience I won't soon forget.
