As with many short term mission trips, we are filled with many mixed emotions regarding the conclusion of our trip.  Feelings of happiness of returning to family and friends, feelings of sadness as we part from many new found friends and memories, and also an overwhelming type of feeling as we try to comprehend all that God showed us through this adventure.  I have been on many different kinds of mission trips in the past, but this one stood out for one specific reason: God's presence was undeniably present every single step of the way.  I cannot tell you how many moments I spent just in silence staring at God's miraculous wonders both in earth's physical beauty and of the spirit of His people. The work He did there and the changes I saw in people brought my heart an overwhelming sense of joy.

I look forward to the next week or so to try to put it into more calculated words as I hope to share my experience to family and friends at home. I spoke with many on our trip about how we can respond when asked about Brazil back home in the states. For those, who were here I would challenge you to not respond with a simple "It was awesome!" as I often do for trips like this. A vacation to Hawaii could be "awesome", but how in a quick 1-2 sentences can we share how God was moving peoples lives in Brazil. It can be such an amazing opportunity to share Christs mission with those curious about our trip!

Our hope as with other missions, is not for this trip to become a solitary event, but another step in our walks with Christ! God's work is not finished and I cannot wait to see what adventures the inspiring men and women on this trip have in store in the future!

Thank you to all our readers for all of your support, love, thoughts and prayers!
God is so Good!

I will conclude this blog with our question of the trip as a challenge to keep our eyes and hearts open to what God has planned for us each and everyday!
