We had a great 5 days in and around the Niagara Falls area.  We set aside an entire day to visit the American side of the falls and we would need all of it!   The highlight for both of us was the walk down to the Cave of the Winds, there is nothing like standing at the bottom of a waterfall!

We also spent time visiting some of the lesser known attractions in the area and really enjoyed discovering what this area has to offer.  Who knew there was so much history in Buffalo??  We certainly didn't!  Yet another city to put back on the list for a re-visit...

The Toronto BlueJays play baseball just across the border and they happened to be in town during the time we were in the area.  This gave us the opportunity to visit the Canadian side of the falls.  The view from Canada is simply stunning!  The drive up to Toronto was about 80 miles, one way but it was worth being able to take MLB stadium #22 off our list!  And it was a pretty good ball game also!

Our last day in the area found us driving back into Buffalo to watch The Great Race come into town.  This was a timed race around the Great Lakes and the entered cars dated from 1969 back to 1907.  It was really quite fun and prompted Ken to wonder if he could enter a 1968 model Winnebago!? For more info on this race check out www.greatrace.com
