Where I stayed
Kens Lake - BLM Campground

It is hard to believe that it has been almost three years since we were last here.  The National Parks of Utah used to be our 'go to' destination back when we had limited vacation time.  As familiar as Moab and the surrounding area is to us it never ceases to amaze.

This visit found us staying at a BLM campground about 8 miles south of the town of Moab.  The campground affords us lots of room to stretch out - we are not jammed in like the commercial campgrounds in town.  We also have a stunning view in every direction.  It can hardly be beat for $12 a night!!

I was so happy just sitting in my 'outside' chair reading a good book that I didn't even care if we did any sight seeing.  Ken managed to talk me into taking a drive up to Arches National Park and I have to say I am glad he did.  Arches is unlike any other National Park out there and is definately on our top 10 list!   If you haven't been here - or to any of the parks in Utah - we would highly recommend you plan a trip.  Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed!!  It gets HOT here though so try not to come in the summer..
