We have had a very busy week here in Anacortes.  I chose this as our final spot for a number of reasons - key amongst them the relatively easy access to lots of attractions.  We spent time exploring Anacortes & La Conner both located close to the campground.  One day was spent in Everett, about an hour south, touring the Boeing factory and The Flying Heritage Collection.  We made the trip north for a full day in Vancouver, BC as well as a day south to Seattle. 

Lastly, we gave ourselves a very relaxing 'final' day of sightseeing out to Friday Harbor in the San Juans.  I actually decided to give everyone our last day together 'off' so that they could each choose what they wanted to do.  Ken, along with Scott & Larry went golfing.  I used the time 'home alone' - actually my first day 'off' since May 10th - to do some planning!! 

We have a final Alaska dinner planned for tonight.  On the menu is clam chowder - made with clams we harvested & cleaned along with halibut tacos - made with the fish the guys caught!  All and all a fitting end to our travels together.
