It was time to leave Skagway behind and to return to the Alaska Highway.  This would require us to travel back up the road we came down four days ago.  You see, there is only one road into Skagway.  We had learned during our time in 'town' that the construction of what is known as the South Klondike Highway had taken over 50 years and that it wasn't until 1978 that the roadway was completed!

The drive was just as spectacular heading north as it was going south.  We also managed to get through Canadian customs with out any problems!!  After making stops at the "World's smallest desert" and Emerald Lake we pulled into our campground in Whitehorse.

We had stayed at Hi Country RV Park both coming and going on our trip back in 2005.  It is still what we believe to be the nicest RV park in town and they have improved the Wi-Fi signal since our last visit - we can now gain access from our coach!  Another bonus is that they have cable TV here and we managed to get the Giants V. Reds game tonight!  Unfortunately, our team lost...but there is always tomorrow night!
