We were up and on the road early this morning.  I have got to confess that this night owl has started waking up at 0600 without an alarm clock and I am not terribly sure I like it!  Of course, I am still staying up until well past midnite.  It seems the body clock has adjusted in just one way!

We took a very short but scenic 85 mile drive from Fairmont Hot Springs to Golden, BC arriving at our destination prior to the official check out time.  I do believe this is a first for us!   After a little jockeying around we managed to get all 5 coaches parked and hooked up.  We had arrived early so that we could take a 200 mile round trip scenic drive out to Glacier & Revelstoke Mountain National Parks.

Lunches were packed, cars were loaded and we were off down the highway.  Just after I told Ken he was traveling above the speed limit ( something I do ALL the time, by the way ) we heard that all too familiar sound of a police siren.  Sure enough, we were being pulled over.  Now, after the Bells experience at the border yesterday we were expecting the worst.  The officer approached the car and began to ask us a lot questions about our window tinting.  What, no lecture about speeding but rather concerns about injuries we may receive if our tinted windows shatter???  Yes, he explained to us that they have been having alot of people hurt in collisions when the tinted windows shatter. Seems the tint holds the shattered glass in place and acts like a 'cheese grater' causing serious (?) injuries!

After advising us that it is the Friday of a three day weekend and that the roadways were going to be very busy he sent us on our way - of course he issued a warning citation so that he could document his time.  So, we now have a British Columbia cite to add to our collection....and have been told to seriously think about having the tint removed - really!!

We continued on our scenic drive with our faith once again returned about the goodness of our neighbors to the North!  We head in to Banff National Park in the morning and are looking forward to whatever adventure may lay ahead!
