We had originally planned on making a stop between Huatabampito and Mazatlan.  That plan changed however once we decided to stay in Huatabampito for the week.  ( Butch & Cathy had their 1994 Dolphin motorhome painted on the beach which is the reason for the extended stay....)
Because we still have other beaches to visit after  Mazatlan we decided to make the 361 mile drive along the toll roads in one day.  The total cost for tolls was $71 dollars and the trip took us just under 9 hours.  Pretty good time, all things considered.

This is our first visit to this area not on a cruise ship and we are looking foward to having a little more time to explore.  Mazatlan is the number one RV destination in Mexico.  The campground we are staying at is only 3 years old and it has no spaces available during the season ( November-April)  It's a beautiful park with an English speaking manager ( he's from Prescott, AZ ) 50 amp hookups, sewer, water and wifi - all for $24 a night.  The ocean front sites can be leased for $4650 a year - no wonder why there aren't any available!!
