In a flash of genius I had decided that rather then driving the coach & girls back to the Bay Area it would be much more convenient to have the 'adult' kids meet us in Disneyland.  I also managed to talk Ken into this time saving scheme!  Ken here. Time is the only thing we saved allright. Fuel would have cost $300. Two days at the 'most expensive place on earth' was just a bit more.

New Years eve found us loading the little people up into the truck - along with all their stuff. Thank goodness we had room!  The kids left the Bay Area around noon and we all met up at the Embassy Suites in Anaheim.  We managed to fit in a quick dinner with Ken's nephew and his wife before heading back to the hotel for an early nights sleep.

New Years day and the day after found us spending time as a family at the Happiest Place on Earth.  There really is  nothing to compare with the look of unbridled joy on a childs face as they ride a roller coaster or spot one of their favorite Disney characters. It really is priceless and I'm sure it's the reason Disney can get away with charging what they charge!!  I mean where else can you get a $3 cheeseburger for $12. (That was Ken's input again, in case you were wondering!)

Ken and I headed back to the coach on Saturday night and the kids headed home on Sunday. What a great visit we had filled with new experiences and memories to last a lifetime.  Now it's  time to catch up on some sleep and housework before heading off to our next adventure!

Great "time saving" idea, Ann. Looks like everyone was happy with your thoughtful idea. Yea for Grandma. (You know I can picture Ken as a Grandpa PapaHottie, but you are just too young to be a Grandma, but I am sure you make a great one.) Happy Trails to you both.
