The rain that started at the completion of our jeep tour on Tuesday continued to fall and the temperatures got downright cold!  Undeterred, we spent a couple of days taking in some of the other Amarillo 'attractions'.  Fortunately these were all museums so we were able to stay out of the cold.

The rally winds down tomorrow and we will 'hot foot' it down to Tucson for a Monaco Coach owners get together.  This will be different from the Beaver Ambassador Club (BAC) rallies and the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) rallies we normally attend.  The Tucson rally is for anyone who owns a Monaco product - that is anyone who owns a Holiday Rambler, Safari, Monaco or Beaver motorcoach. .  Monaco is - or I should say was - the parent company.  They filed for bankruptcy earlier this year and were bought out by Navistar. They exited bankruptcy and now are producing motor coaches again. The new name in Monaco Coaches LLC. Wonder how many lawyers were involved in that?

It should be an interesting rally - the last one of these we went to found us purchasing the coach we have now.  Wish me luck in keeping Ken away from the display coaches!  Actually, I think all I will have to do is remind him of all the time we spent in service centers during our first year of ownership with this coach.  That should be enough to keep him from pulling out the 'ole checkbook!

But, Ken says he gets to shop for coaches none the less. Some friends of ours our looking for a coach and he is keeping an 'eye' out. He says he gets to shop by proxy because technically its going to be someone else's money.n Hhhhhmmmmmmmm, sounds fishy to me.
