We pulled out of Hart Ranch in South Dakota a couple of days early because of an anticipated cold front.  We also changed the route we had planned on taking.  Rather than going to Scotts Bluff, Nebraska we headed to Colorado.  Strange as it may seem the weather promised to be better in the Denver area....

After about 400 miles, which is a long drive day for us, we pulled into St Vrain State Park.   The anticipated cold front arrived here on Thursday and it got down right chilly on Friday night.  The highs have been in the 20's and we got about 3 inches of snow.  The good news is that it is much colder in South Dakota and Nebraska so we made the right choice to come to Colorado.

We've left the coach to do some shopping and to make a long overdue Costco run.  The weather promises to 'warm up' starting on Monday and we hope to get in some sightseeing as well as a few visits to the local micro breweries!!!  In the meantime Ken is a "happy camper" being stuck at home during baseball playoffs as well as football season!
