Where I stayed
Thompson's West End City Campground - 50 amp only
I haven't been having a lot of luck lately and decided to 'think positive' while playing the penny machines. Don't laugh, these machines actually cost more than a few pennies to play, really! Ken, on the other hand has been having a pretty good run at the Blackjack tables despite the previously mentioned 'children'. Well, after about an hour I walked away ahead for today but down about 40 dollars over the last several casino visits. Ken is still ahead. Maybe I should take up Blackjack!
We made it back to the campground just as the skies darkened and the wind started swirling. The locals here in the mid-west say if you don't like the weather wait about 15 minutes and it will change. They were right in this case, about 30 minutes later we were on the road, fingers crossed that we would not experience any electrical 'gremlins'.
Just south of Duluth we ran into some fog. We actually passed through town and crossed over Lake Superior into Wisconsion without ever seeing the lake. Strange weather. A short while later the fog cleared but the skies stayed overcast.
We pulled into our campground here in Washburn and were immediately greeted by our Rally and Co-Rally masters. Yes, we are here for another BAC ( Beaver Ambassaador Club) rally. This is a fairly small one with only 12 coaches and we are looking forward to exploring this beautiful part of the country. Updates, as always, too follow!
