Before heading to South Africa, I spent a few days in Buenos Aires.  What a city!  Great food, wine, people.  The city is huge and has many distinctly different neighborhoods.  I spent 4 days or so walking around, eating the food, and watching the people go about their daily life.

My favorite part of BA was the food.  Everywhere there is incredible meat to be eaten, and I took full advantage.  It was awesome!

Another major highlight was going to a football match between Boca Juniors and Banfield.  Although the game was the last one of the season, and pretty much meaningless...the fans were rabid...insane...and almost scary. We sat amongst the hooligan-like crowd and were slightly intimidated.  One of our group had his camera taken from him.  No, not stolen from him...but, TAKEN from him by a huge, scary, drunk hooligan.

I've never seen so much emotion and energy as I saw in at this soccer game.  It was 90 straight minutes of screaming, chanting, yelling...with people down below organizing the crowd...and the people above following along with the singing and heckling.  At one point one of the people in the crowd climbed up and over the barbed wire fence and hung from a pole RIGHT ABOVE the oppositions goal cross-bar.  Crazy.  The european football fans with me had never seen anything like it either.

Attached are a few photos from my time there.
