The white sand stone rises straight up towards the heavens. Seperated by only a small ring of trees, keeping the city at bay. The Acropolis rests steadily upon this base, housing the Parthenon, Temple to Athena and two theaters. I'm sitting utop an adjacent rock structure staring out over the Acropolis, Athens and Greece. It is late October but it is still vary warm and the sun beats down on my face. When I was walking among the buildings, the familiar wash of satisfaction over took me. It is absolutly amazing to see these structures. I was dissapointed to see that they were in the proccess of restoring it, scaffolding marred my pictures on both sides. Oh well, I guess it is an excuse to come back. I continually find myself imagining what this place looked like in its prime. I begin to wish I could attend one of there parites; drink the wine and flirt with the dancers.
