We passed a huge seal colony, that were lying and wondering all over the rocks not 50m from the road. We particularly enjoyed the freedom of being able to stop and watch them with having to join the crowds at the laybys.
The only two issues causing any upset were the wall of heat we hit as soon as we turned inland for the last 10km and the fact we had to pay $19 each to rent a tent site 4 times bigger than our tent which annoyed me out of of all proportion to the cost.
On balance though a really good days ride.
