Trip 60.01km
Avg. 18.08
Max 65.88 (little bit scary)

Today we sailed, almost literally, a brisk tail wind shoving us onward, if this could be booked for everyday it would reduce the challenges ahead dramatically but as the weather refuses to take advances bookings or even notify the weather men of its plans, we just enjoyed it as a pleasant change. It did though only fuel Hannah and her slightly Kamikaze need for speed, accelerating her to over 70kms an hour, a rapid evolution from the 'well' wobbling first few days.

We met to fellow peddlers today English Charles, who was on only his second days riding having started in Picton and American Douglas who was cycling around New Zealand after doing the pacific coast in America, I talking to him I have some what predictably add this to my list of things I want to do, Hannah asked me if there was anywhere I didn't want to go, I couldn't immediately think of anywhere.

We stayed at a hostel that pretty much just caters for cyclists being half way between Blenheim and Kiaikora and a handy stopover for peddlers but unneeded for those with motors. They provide a nice breeze block building in which we made dinner, showered and took a look at the beds, although there was nothing wrong with them, we opted to pitch the tent outside and Douglas strung up his Hammock in some near by tree's (Charles had stopped in the previously town and we later discovered camped outside the pub).
