Keeping our Wellies on in Wellington
Friday 5th September
We spent a freezing night last night  on the waterfront in Wellington and in desperate need of warmth and a good shower we headed off to the local swimming pool to do some exercise.  After which we drove around desperately trying to find some free wifi internet, but no luck.  So we admitted defeat and yet again went to an internet cafe to update and check email.  After this the Te Papa National Museum was free and in fact extremely informative and entertaining.  They had a rig up of a house that simulated the earthquake experienced only a few years ago in a New Zealand town.  All day the weather has been freezing cold wind from the south - The Antarctic! and lots of rain and drizzle.  Caught a great view of the city from the top of Mount Victoria before a supper of fried potato and vegetable which Clare treated us to hoping to get us through another freezing cold night.
