Left Paraty for a 6 hour bus ride on a plush bus to Sao Paulo. Sitting in the bus station for 3 hours with Geoff giggling at Farto's the Chemist!! Expect Brazilians have a good laugh at Boots when they come to England. But Sao Paulo towers in the distance, traffic all around, as busy and impersonal as any city seen from a distance. We only stopped briefly in the bus station but crossed the city from East to West which from first favela to last took over 2 hours. Left Sao Paulo at 6pm for 15 hour bus ride through the night to Foz de Iguazu. Bus is palatial with fully reclining seats, leg rests and air con to die for, if you like that kind of thing. We don’t. Having cold air blasted at you for 15 hours gives you brain freeze.
