Yesterday we went to the "zoo". Actually, we went to Taman Safari, which is a "drive-thru" safari-style zoo. So you pay the entrance fee (about USD $20 for 3 adults and one child - pretty cheap), and then you drive thru the zoo. There are no fences, and animals are free to come right up to your car. It is pretty neat to feed the less carnivorous animals from your car window, and pretty relieving to not turn yourself into a meal for the more carnivorous animals.
On the tour, we saw elephants, camels, rhinos, hippos, tigers, lions, cheetahs, etc... All of them welcome to come right up to your car. The lawyers back in America would have a field day with this place.
Back at the carnival area Callista and I rode a camel, and we fed the elephants. We also got to hold a baby orangutan. It was all a lot of fun. Much better than any "zoo" experience I've had back home.
So, y'all have been to a zoo before, so I won't bore you with a complete play by play. Instead, I'll just post a couple photos for you to check out.

This is a zoo!
Wow, this is waht could be called a real 'hands on zoo'. The baby orangutan is really cute, it looks like it is enjoying being held. Callista looks a little unsure of herself feeding the elephant. It looks like a fun experience except for the face to face with that snake, YIKES! Good to hear from you.
