A little longer ride today.  As we have continued this journey over the past few weeks, we have tried to limit our time on the road to appx. 6 hours and appx. 400-450 miles.  We took on 550miles and what Mapquest estimated to be 8 hours.  We made today's 550 miles in 7.5hours, averaging 74MPH.  One of the pics will show why.  Rhonda took it as we were on cruise control following a Cadillac Escalade for about 10-15 miles.

We noticed many new rock formations.  Or, I should say, many rock formations of similar size, shape and color, but ones we had not seen on the trip out.  We also noticed another weather pattern along the way.  As we moved out of California into Arizona, Rhonda noticed what looked like a ground level overcast look across the desert.  As we continued on, it became apparent that we had seen another cold front.  The weather dropped from 78 to 56 in short order.  Once we arrived in New Mexico, the temp had dropped into the low 50's.  Supposed to get down to the low to mid 20's tonight.

We will attempt another 550 mile trek tomorrow and try to have this trip complete by the weekend.  Almost 2100 miles, and a visit to the Corvette Museum, to go.

I am posting a few pics of today's ride along.
