Food is another of Hoi An's attractions. There are a few dishes offered that can only be had in Hoi An as they require water from a specific well located in the old city. We ate all they had to offer and drank there $.20 beer (3000 dong) and explored the lot. Rachel signed up for another cooking school and was pleased to meet Janet, Shona and Calle(Carl). Turns out I met these guys in Nha Trang while diving and they are quite a fun bunch. Shona and Carl are also on their honeymoon. The future would find us spending many days with these 3 on tour busses and in bars and dodging scams.
Then we discovered the real secret of Hoi An. The Beaches! Stupid guide book barely said anything about beaches. Whom ever thought Mue Ni had the best beaches in Vietnam was smoking with the locals! The beaches were awsome, stretched for miles and were virtually deserted. If we had not decided to be adventurous and rent a scooter we might have missed this little gem! And driving a moto in Vietnam is crazier than riding on the back of one!
So, now we're off to Hue. Hue's just a stop over on the way to Hanoi so don't expect much if anything as far as updates go. Just two more torture bus rides to go to reach the north!
