So we left Franz Joseph in the rain and arrived in Hokatika in the sun.  This is a pleasent township by the coast.  We have just enjoyed a very pleasant meal overlooking the Tasman Sea surf as it rolls up the shallow beach here.  The sky is blue, there are a few fluffy clouds, the wind is about 20knots and quite chilly, and anything is better than the rain we suffered yesterday.

A few catch up photos, the street name photo should clear up any lingering doubts as to my sexual preferences.  I know some folks in the UK have their doubts.
