Where I stayed
Couchsurfing - Ain
Got back on the road and made it to San Sebastian about 3:30 pm. We bought more lunch items and found a park bench by the sea wall to have lunch. Conrad called our host, Ain to make arrangements to meet him. We were to meet Ain at 9:30 pm. It was 4:30 at this time, so we had 5 hours to explore the city. We did just that. We walked around for 5 hours. We found the tourist center and got a map. We wandered around the old district, had ice cream, admired the beautiful streets and buildings. We went inside a very old church and admired it's architecture. We decided to take the long walk around the "hill". It was a 30+ minute walk to get all the way around it. We stopped for a bit and Conrad took a small nap while I rested my knee which at this time was killing me. We took the rest of the walk much slower. We made it back to the Boulevard and stopped to eat again. Finished up the lunch items. Then at 9:15 we made our way over to Ain’s area. Got a little lost, but then made our way as we usually do. Found parking and met up with Ain. Got settled in his place and then went out for dinner. We opted for Lebanese food. It was okay. I didn’t like all of it, but I tried most of it (except for the beets……YUCK!). We met a very cool dog, whose owner was very chatty and clingy. Poor Ain had to translate as this guy kept rambling on and on. But the dog was cool. Some type of retriever bred for duck hunting. He looked like a yellow lab, but much bigger. We finished dinner and heading back to Ain's. I crashed, while Conrad stayed up socializing.
