Where I stayed
After a hearty breakfast, we packed (again), deposited our bags at reception and headed off to explore the old town of Rhodes before our 3 o'clock departure to the airport. Our last few hours as a couple travelling together!
It was very busy - in fact too busy. People everywhere, with the crowded beaches and restaurants overflowing onto the foot paths. Was this typical we asked? "You should have seen us last month" came the reply.
Obviously the crisis hasn't hit Rhodes yet. Everyone agreed that it had been one of the busiest times yet.
We eventually sat, rested, lunched and returned to the hotel, deciding to repack our suitcases, so that we reduced the risk over going over the limit. For some reason, my bag is now significantly heavier than Sally's?
The trip to Heraklion was uneventful, in a slightly smaller plan to which we had become accustomed, but comfortable and without issue nonetheless.
