We hardly stepped foot onto the sand before we were accosted by over-zealous beach vendors. They attacked from all sides shoving sarongs, jewellery and sunglasses in our face. I swear the same guy came back 4 times! I thought Septi-hambre (September Hungry) was over?

We were hesitant to make the trip over to PV. Everyone said it's super-touristy.

What does Puerto Vallarta have that Sayulita doesn't? An airport, huge hotels, tourists with bigger pockets, chain stores (McDonald's, KFC), huge shopping malls, jetskis and paragliding, and hair braiders on the beach. You can keep the rest, but bring on the hair braiders! 

This was the day Dee had her hair braided, Alicia Keys-stylee. They're great at keeping your hair out of the way. At first they were itchy and hard to sleep with, but the fun klink-klink sound and low maintenance makes up for it!
 
Aside - Ok, so maybe we popped into Micky D's for an Oreo McFlurry but there's no proof!
