Today we took another bus to Chongqing. This ride was about 5 hours through some very beautiful countryside, mostly fields. We saw all kinds of animals including many chickens, ducks, dogs, a goat and an ox. The terrain became more hilly as we got closer to Chongqing. We were picked up at the bus station by a van from Dylan's school, which was a treat. We went to visit Dylan's apartment and had some great Sichuan food. We also visited a local supermarket and farmer's market. We met his sitemate Cassie who also teaches English and spent some time in her very cozy apartment. It was great to be in a home and not a bus, etc. For dinner we went out for hot pot, a Sichuan local specialty. You can see in the photos that all the food is cooked at the table in a big pot.
