Pinch punch first of the month. Wow how did August come around so quickly? This is the month we have to travel back home, and oh how we wish we could stay. Tomorrow is also our last day with Grandma Lizzie and Grandad Ian. A dull and wet start to the day seems fairly fitting. We remind each other that we must make the most of every last second we have on this amazing trip.

Emma goes back to bed and sleeps until 10am, can't remember the last time that happened.
Dylan loves his one hour 'lesson' with Grandma using an activity book she has bought him. He does an amazing job of joining the dots in a picture to draw a tractor, we had no idea he could do this. We eat lunch out at the local bakery which is yummy. We especially enjoy the frozen yoghurt, Taya leaps out of her seat to grab the next spoon.

Long naps back at the house whilst the adults start packing in advance of a travel day back to Vancouver tomorrow. Emma swings in the lovely comfy hammock whilst reading her lonely planet and planning the next set of adventures.

This afternoon we pop up the road to visit some wooden carved statues we spotted on our drive into town a week ago. It's a local competition and they are all carved using a chain saw. We pop Taya in the mouth of an orca, and Dylan chats to the bears, which is his favourite. Great fun place to wander and for the children to play. Next stop is a coffee shop by the sea with a wooden boat full of toys outside. Dylan and Grandma came here the other day and really enjoyed it, so we return.

Home for dinner, baths, bedtimes, and our last night in this amazing beach house.

Thanks for letting us join your wonderful adventures. So enjoying it all. Will be really sorry when it's all over! Bon Voyage to Grandma and Grandad for the next stage of their trip and adventures of a different kind with Sarah and David.

All the best. Xx
