An early morning call from Taya who has reached the far side of her room and is stuck at the wall!

Today we want to see some of the city itself, shops, high rises, and such like, to give us a complete picture of Vancouver. This also doesn't disappoint. The city is so clean, lovely water features, good shops, and public seating areas. We all just have a general wander and nose at anything that takes our fancy. Dylan spends ages running up and down a zigzagged ramp next to a waterfall on Robson Street. We love watching him exploring his surroundings.

We walk towards Gas Town in search of some lunch. Emma and Grandma turn their noses up at some places, before stumbling across a perfect place called Catch 122. Aptly described by Grandad as Bohemian Industrial Chic. It's French Canadian food and very tasty. Interesting dish called Duckcette Poutine was a favourite - chips, gravy, onions, duck and Brie. So lovely to be able to take the children to such a nice place, and for them to eat nicely with us.

We continue our wander through this part of Gas Town, and past a huge number of undesirables, until we hit the main tourist area. Nice bars, restaurants, and shops on the Main Street.

We look at the statue of Gassy Jack, whom the area is named after, and then the steam clock - a clock which is partially powered by a steam engine.

We finish our stroll at the waterfront watching the sea planes take off and land.

Our last day in Vancouver before we head to Vancouver Island. So in love with this city. Absolutely perfect city for us all to play in. We have done so much in the last week and enjoyed it all immensely.
