Here we go again, this time to the Disney California Adventure Park.

Just as big and exciting as yesterday's park. We head straight for Cars Land which is Dylan's favourite Disney Pixar film at home. Wow, this is incredible!  It looks just like in the film. Taya is not allowed on the rides here so we take advantage of the parent switch which is fabulous. It means that one of us queues and goes on the ride with Dylan whilst the other waits or wanders with Taya, then we swap, and Dylan gets to go on the ride again with the other one of us, without having to queue. Amazing system and works perfectly for us.

One of the days highlights was meeting Lighting McQueen. We also met Mater (Dylan's favourite), Mike from Monsters inc (Emma's favourite), Donald Duck, Buzz Lightyear (Rich's favourite and Taya's least favourite).

Today's Rides:

Cars Land:
This is our favourite land across both of the parks.

Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree - We got pulled around by baby tractors spinning and whirling to Mater’s music.

Luigi’s Flying Tires - Float and fly in a “spare” on a cushion of air! This is really fun, it's like being on a hovercraft crossed with bumper cars. You have to move around by leaning in the direction you want to travel, easier said than done, but lots of fun.

Paradise Pier:
Like a great big seaside pier with fairground rides by the water.
King Triton’s Carousel - this time with sea creatures. The seahorses are Dylan's favourite.

Mickey’s Fun Wheel - this one is "just like the London Eye", we select the non swinging option as it looks like it might make us all motion sick. Good views of the parks from high up.

A Bugs Life:
Francis’ Ladybug Boogie - tea cups type of ride but with ladybirds. It's really quick and very bumpy. To ride this one they ask that Taya stays with her bottom on the seat, well that wasn't too easy!

Flik’s Flyers - we soared through the sky in a hot air balloon made of leaves!

Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train - a bit like the hungry caterpillar story. We travel around and through the food that the caterpillar has eaten for the day.

Hollywood Lane:
Muppet Vision 3D - into a full size cinema for a 3D show, although we think it is 4D as it has real bubbles and wind etc.

Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue - Rich and I do this Monster's Inc ride during nap time. Really good scenes from the movie especially the moving hanging doors from the factory. Really clever.

We all have dinner at a Mexican restaurant before the parade. Again the parade is excellent. We prefer the characters in this park as we are more familiar with them as they are from the more recent Pixar movies. We see floats from Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Bugs Life, Toy Story, and Cars (although only Mater, no Lightening McQueen). The floats all spray water out into the crowds as they go past. We love the people jumping on springy stilts, Mr Potato Head, Sully on a huge bike, Mr Incredible on a space bike. After the parade it's ice cream time. We have a regular and it is huge. We see others with large ones which are like towers coming out of the cone. Dylan is now quite a pro with the ice creams and hardly makes a mess, although is helped along by Emma borrowing it to lick up the drips.

We wander around the park in the dark and enjoy it immensely. Back to our favourite Car Land which is amazing at night too. They have a racing car DJ ing as people dance in the street. We finally get to meet Mater. We walk through the bright lights of Hollywood before heading out of the park to find our shuttle bus home for bed by 10pm again.

Absolutely LOVED Disney, so brilliantly done and pretty easy peasy with the little people, which is always a bonus. Tonnes of fun had by all and so many memories. We will definitely do this again.

Wow - how will they ever return to a normal life!!! What adventures and fun and I don't know how they remember so much detail to write it all down later - unless they are typing as they go!!
Oh the wonders of modern technology that we can all enjoy this trip with them! Keep them coming!
