Happy 5 Year Wedding Anniversary to us and Happy Birthday to our lovely niece Lucy.

Playtime for all of us this morning on Sentosa - an island resort in Singapore. After Dylan's favourite breakfast of "cake", well the healthier looking Starbucks muffins, we were all fuelled and ready to go. Dylan and Emma went up the Tiger Sky Tower - 131m above sea level it's a revolving observatory tower, Asia's tallest apparently. Nice views of Sentosa and Singapore.Dylan preferred to look down to see if he could spot Rich and Taya below.

Next was the Luge, part go-cart, part toboggan, it's exactly the same as the one in Rotarua New Zealand. Despite saying its suitable for all ages it was apparently not for Taya. Other than the helmet not fitting we are not exactly sure why not, but hey ho. Dylan and Emma donned their helmets and set off down the run. Dylan is of course the driver!! Our little thrill seeker squeals his way down "faster mummy faster".

Next stop Port of Lost Wonder on Palawan Beach, a big pirate ship water park designed for little tots. Armed with our treasure bags and pirate passports we headed in for a much needed cool down. The ship was surrounded by water guns, sprinklers and filled with slides and chutes. We spent a good few hours playing in the water and shooting each other with the guns. Great fun was had by all.

Jumped in a taxi to go back home with two tired kidlets dropping off in the taxi. Nap time for the children and lunch for the grown ups. Rich goes out in search of food and returns with some wonders from the city where food is viewed as crucial to national identity and a unifying cultural thread; Singaporean literature declares eating as a national pastime, and food a national obsession. Oh yes, a ham and cheese sandwich no less! He did redeem himself slightly with a beer and a magnum ice cream. Missing our queen of cuisine who is working today.

A relaxing afternoon and a little swot up on our next destination - Sri Lanka. Tomorrow morning will be our last in Singapore before heading to the airport. Loved our time in Singapore, such a great city with so many fantastic areas to explore. The heat and humidity would take some getting used to but lovely to have some sunshine after all those dark snowy months.
