. not quite as hot as yesterday's but more eventful. galina's daughter and 5/6 ish yr old grandson were visiting and the little bastard grandson locked us in the banya! found out cos helen decided she needed a wee about 3 seconds after stripping off. completed our sweating, washing, squealing ritual before sticking out heads out the window and trying to coax the little shit towards us to let us out. in a language he doesn't understand... he unlocked it but then regretted it so tried to push the door shut again, kicking us in turn in the shins as we came out. then he fell over (or maybe helen pushed him... there were no witnesses...) hee hee. more food. again! rice and chicken. checked out our pics of the day. decided we'd rather have a week here and have skipped ekaterinsburg. bum.
slept v well. no stinky, smelly, snoring, coughing kiwi!! although helen had to make a couple of trips to the outdoor loo in the night. best breakfast of blini with sour cream and home made raspberry jam. v thin but a pile a couple of inches high to get through to avoid incurring the wrath of galina. off for our hike in the mountains with sacha. a crinkly eyed guy who looked a bit like dubya. except thinner, nicer (i would imagine) and a whole lot less inclined to go invading countries and killing people. beautiful day. had started frosty but got really warm. blue skies and great views... again! lunch was a picnic on the beach. (only spoilt by the fact that our nemesis, the kiwi, was there with already!!) sacha did his best ray mears impression and got a fire going. we had smash, big russian sausages, tomato, cucumber, cheese, oranges, chocolate, cake, the works. i did a spot of paddling - said to add ten years to my life. then sat in the sun and chilled out. back to galina's by 4.30 for our second banya
