Finally got good rest last night and walked around town today. Aleppo is a bustling city of about 5 million and considered the oldest continually inhabited city in the world which people living here continuously for the past 8000 years.

It looks very much like turkey does but poorer and not as wealthy or as well kept. This is fine with me though as everything is much cheaper than in Turkey.

There are pictures of the president on every window, every street corner.
