We started today rested and with a very good breakfast-- coffee, toast and brown bread, as well as poached eggs on toast for Josh and smoked salmon (lox) with scrambled eggs for Elisa.  Mike, the host/owner at the B&B, helped us choose a driving route for the day.

This led us down (zoom into the map to see what the following means) N59 to R341, where we had a coffee and toured the grounds of Ballynahinch Castle, which is all about fishing and really neat.

Then it was back to N59 up through Clifden, and into Moyard.  Here we stopped at Cottage Handcrafts, where Elisa got a Claddagh necklace and Josh finally got his much-wanted tweed cap (thanks Ken!).  We proceeded to Connemara National Park, then left because living in the northwest makes us unimpressed with beautiful things, hehe.

We parked in the "car park" of Kylemore Abby and had a picnic that included some store-bought Irish soda bread.  Hmmm.

The view was amazing, but we didn't bother with the tour, as it was €12 each and our guide book said it's a letdown for the price.  After lunch we bounced on peat bogs... so cool!

We stood 15 feet apart and one of us jumped, and the other could not only feel it, but we could see the vibration moving across the ground!  Like Jello! We then headed down R344, through the hills.
It was so beautiful, and we saw so many sheep today. There was a be-speckled lamb on the road that not only bounced and hopped but literally jumped into the air!  Elisa wanted to kidnap him.  Josh wanted him for lunch.

We returned to the B&B for coffee and now we're updating our blog.  Tonight we'll probably eat something.  And drink more Guinness.

Tomorrow we begin moving south, next stop being Dingle town, with lots to see along the way.  Stay tuned!
