Last Sunday, July 31, we left for Garmisch and Oberammergau. We also spent some time in Ettal. On Tuesday we left for Berchtesgaden which included a trip to Eagle's Nest (very cloudy and rainy so didn't see the views). On Thursday before leaving for home, we went to the Saltzberg Salt Mine. Admirable behavior from us all considering we were in the car for approximetly 17 hours over the five days; kids were awesome! The traffic on the autobahn can be stressful. Yes, you can go really fast, but then get stopped by a 'stau' (stopped traffic) for long periods of time. But, we made it! I have posted many pictures which hopefully will tell the story of last week. Tomorrow we leave for Normandy, probably won't get back until late Thursday or Friday.

Thanks so much for the update---a history lesson with a view ! Hadn't heard from you in awhile so assumed it was because of the FUN---which it probably was. It sounds and looks like you are having a great time and what a wonderful experience. Looking forward to further pics.
