After 3 long months away from the ocean, today we headed to the Slovenian coast town or Portoroz.  We checked into our awesome hotel and were enjoyed the feeling of air conditioning again.  The last two weeks the temperature has been in the mid to upper 90s so we all enjoyed cooling off for a while.

The Adriatic sea is amazing.  The water is so blue and clear you can see 20 feet through the water.  We grabbed some lunch, changed into our swim wear and hit the beach... or at least the Slovenian version of the beach.  Slovenia got cheated out of the coastal area between Croatia and Italy, so they only have a few kilometers of water front and none of it beeches.  Instead they made these cement slabs with stairs that people can go into the water from.  When done with the water, people lay out on the cement.  It does not compare to the miles of sandy beeches in San Diego, but the ocean temp made up for it.  The water temp was about 80 degrees.  After trekking around for a couple of days, it's nice to have a chill out day by the water.
