So, we love this place so much, we had to make another post before we left. Today we spent the morning lounging around our great little hostel and read by the fireplace in the garden. After lunch, we hiked up to Belle Vista, where you could see the entire city. Incredible. You could also see the volcano, but it was covered in the clouds. We continued up the side of the volcano to a little town called Runtun. It was crazy, but you could hear the roar of the active volcano like distant thunder every several minutes. We asked a local and he said it was like that "todos los dias", every day. I canīt imagine living on the side of an active volcano and hearing it grumble all day and night. Taylor and I freaked out last night because we heard thunder from a storm and thought we were done, that the volcano was going to spew hot liquid magma onto our sleepy town. Anyway, didn't mean to scare our mothers. We are safe. Back to the hike, on our way down, the clouds started to break, and we got a clear view of the top of the volcano. You could see it spitting ash and smoke into the sky every four or five minutes. So cool. All, in all, it was an incredible day, and an incredible visit to Baņos. Definitely a highlight.

We are off to Quito tomorrow, and then to the Galapagos. If we donīt get a chance to post something tomorrow (which I donīt see us doing anything of note), then you wont here from us until after June 15, when we get back. Donīt panic mom, we are OK.

Love to all.
