The overnight stay at Oudtshoorn was interesting. The boutique hotel was a little tired along with our hostess. However, the restaurant we ate at last night was one of the best we had been to once we found it. Oudtshoorn is famous for ostrich and I had my first taste of that last night followed by Western Coast sole which was absolutely delicious.

We were both really tired and settled down to sleep quite early. However, I was rudely awakened at 4.00 am by a cold shower of water from the air conditioner above my head. Needless to say, it took a while to get back to sleep and the bed was wet - great.

We headed from there to an ostrich farm where we learnt all about these large feathered friends. I even got up close and personal with some of them!

We went on a fairly long journey (a couple of hours) to Knysna along some of the famous 'Garden Route'. The mountains on route were spectacular, followed by amazing white beaches with surf to die for, then lagoons of salt water and wonderful views. Our boutique hotel here is so different, it is wonderfully, clean with amazing views from the balcony. We have just met our hostess (who is originally from Birmingham) and our host (from Manchester) Joyce and Graham.
